This is a story I am writing. I hope you like it!! I hope to become an author one day!
Prolog
“How dare you insult me in front of my family!”
“F-F-Family?! What family?” The middle-age wolf stammered.
“Alex is my family, as well as GravelHide.”
“Uh, er…ok”
“Do you know how long I’ve waited to revel myself? To revel what I truly am?”
“Uh, um…no.”
“A Cyber-cycle! Do you know how long that is?! A Cyber-cycle?!”
“Uh, no Sir I don’t.”
A Cyber-cycle is when our sun, our galaxy, makes its way around the Universe. Like our planet revolves around the sun.”
“Um…ok.”
“Destin; you are much younger than I am. You should know this.” Destin put his hand on his sword. Alex took his sword out and walked toward Destin. I held out my hand to stop him.
“There is no need for bloodshed.”
“Yes there is. After what happened a month ago. What you did to me!”
“There was nothing against you then Destin, and you know it!” There was greed in his eyes. I could see it. Then, in a flash, Destin drew his sword and lunged toward me. In a series of movements he got behind me and slashed at my back heels. I feel forward and landed on my hands and knees. Alex charged forward to attack Destin.
“Alex!” I said. He stopped in mid-sprint. “Don’t. What ever Destin is about to do let it be down, with the consequences that will happen.” Destin laughed. “Choose wise old man. Your life may depend on it.” I didn’t move from where I had landed. “Humph. So be it.” He cut into my neck making a lighting bolt shape. “That was for a month ago.” I made no attempt to cry out, as I could not and would show my weakness. Then he cut the outside of my left arm and the inside of my right arm.
“That is…well that is just for fun.” Then he did the unthinkable. He raised his sword up to my left ear. He went half way up. There was a small thud as part of my ear landed on the half dessert, half forested floor. He had cut off half my ear! That scoundrel! Then he did something I thought he would never do. He told me to get up. As I did, I squeezed my eyes shut as I felt myself go lightheaded. There was blood every where, on the ground, on me, even on my face. I struggled to get up, but as soon as I did I staggered. At that moment Destin lunged forward striking my chest. I thought that he had gone through. But he didn’t. He struck downward making a deep gash in my chest. He stood there satisfied, as I stood there dumbstruck at what he had just done. I gasped and held a paw to my chest. I fell to the ground and blacked out. The last thing I saw was Alex charging forward.
Chapter 1
As leader of The Hunters I am implied to tell you everything. First off my name is Aaron. My son, GravelHide, will also be writing in this journal. All the wolves from all the various planets will. You heard me right, planets. We have them stationed though out the Universe searching for the remains of our enemy group, The Resistance. They are lead by Destin.
The coincidence about him is that Destin lives on my home planet, Koanda (pronounced Ko-AN-da) and in my village. We keep him under tight surveillance. My pardon you don’t know who ‘we’ is. What I mean is that my son, WhiteArrow, Skyfire, Cedarclaw, and I will keep him under tight surveillance.
I am sure that you are confused right about now. I will start with a part of my story in order to catch you up and put you up to date. I will skip around so keep with me.
Destin and I were best buds right from the start. We had the same interests and the same goal in life. When we were both elected to The Circle Council (TCC), we both debated. We debated with each other and against each other. This is where Destin gets his greed for power. I was elected chairman of the TCC. Destin grew jealous of me. I retired from chairman after 7 years (the max amount of years anyone person can be chairman). As soon as I retired, Destin took every step he could to get elected chairman. He took it too far. If you read the previous pages you know what happened to me. Well, he did get elected chairman. And yet to this very day he still is chairman. My son is on the TCC. Hopefully he will knock Destin off and become chairman himself.
As Destin grew more in power, he turned evil and took any and every step he could to gain more power. He went as far as threatening the King himself to gain ultimate power. Then the worst happened; an all out war. It went on for ages. Years went by and there was still no sign of the war ending. There was also rumor of the Black Knight or Armored Wolf returning. Another coincidence, the Black Knight was the one who saved my life. I owe him a great debt. I have yet to pay it off. I went in search of the Knight. It took me months of searching different planets to find him. But, when I did find him I told him immediately of what was happening. He agreed to help.
The Black Knight and I combined our powers using them to our ultimate breaking point. It worked. The fighting stopped. The wolves on Destin’s side scattered across the Universe. They went into hiding and ultimately became known as The Resistance. I sent my wolves after them. Take a planet, stay there, record any and all activity. We became known as The Hunters, as we had to hunt them down one by one. To this day I have not heard back from any of the wolves accept for a few, the Black Knight being one of them.
Before I set off to bed I must tell you one more thing. The Black Knight isn’t a wolf. He is a Bangle White Tiger. Why some call him the Armored Wolf, I don’t know.
Chapter 2
“Good, good. Very good. You have done well. Top of your class I should say.” I beamed with pride, Aaron would be so proud.
“Now do it again.” The wolf folded his arms and leaned back on the post, smiling. I smiled, typical him. He just wanted to see if I could memorize the move. I took both swords and put one in each hand and did the move. At the end I flung one sword toward Destin, who was leaning on the post. When Destin saw it coming I could have laughed. I set the sword on fire and when Destin ducked I made the sword dissolve, from tip to handle, and disappear into thin air. He got up and looked at the post. Then he looked back at me.
He started laughing, that fool! Then he started to clap. “Nicely done my boy. Nicely done GravelHide. Your father would truly be proud. A dagger landed near Destin’s foot. I looked around the training arena for who did it. I spotted the wolf up near one of the guard towers of the arena.
“Keep away from GravelHide and Aaron.” The wolf said. Wait! That wasn’t a wolf, its tail was longer. It was the Black Knight himself. But what was he doing here?
Chapter 3
“WHAT!?” GravelHide came in at that moment. “GravelHide leave.”
“But, I just…”
“Leave now; for your own safety.’
“Fine.” GravelHide left closing the door behind him.
“You were saying, Kogan?”
“Aaron it’s true. I saw him myself. We need to do something.”
“I need to contact Lance.” I got up and started for the room in the back of the house. Kogan got up.
“It’s too late for that. We need to take action. I will get Alex and tell him.”
“You know he’s banished right?”
“Yes I know. The reason why he is banished I don’t know that.” I looked over my shoulder. “Good keep it that way.” I walked out of the kitchen and walked over to the door. I grabbed my cane and walked out of the house, leaving Kogan wondering what Alex did and why I had left.
Chapter 4
I watched Aaron leave. My eyes blazed. Why wouldn’t he tell me? I closed my eyes and disappeared from the room. I reappeared next to Aaron who was walking toward a very large building.
“So where you headed to?” He jumped and looked my way.
“Kogan one day; I swear I will get you. I’m headed toward the other training arena. GravelHide is already there.”
“The Simulator!!! Are you nuts!?!? That could kill them!!! It could kill us!!!!”
“Yes I know but it is the only way; the only way I can train them. All of them.”
“Fine suit yourself. Oh look there’s GravelHide.” GravelHide was fighting with invisible enemies. “Wow. That son of yours is quite impressive.” Aaron stopped. He looked at me. His eyes were blazing and he looked mad.
“Ok I’m sorry. I take back what I said. My bad.”
“Don’t you ever talk about GravelHide like that. You should know that.”
“Ok my sorry.” He still looked at me like I was kidding.
“What?” I said confused.
“Promise me you won’t say anything like that again?”
“But I—“
“Promise me…”
“Ok. I promise.”
“Good. Now let’s get going. The others should be there by now.”
